      Mattie E. Pat Dewey, 88, a long-time resident of Garber, Oklahoma, was the daughter of Thomas and Paulina (Berg) Ogburn. She was born on December 18, 1914 in Glencoe, Oklahoma and died on Sunday, July 13, 2003 at Highland Park Nursing Home in Enid, Oklahoma.Pat married Chester Edward Chet Dewey in 1937 at Guthrie, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on April 12, 1999.Pat was a beautician that operated her business out of her home in Garber for many years. She was a member of the First Christian Church and a charter member of the Athenian Club. She and Chet had no children, but she enjoyed entertaining and had many children in her home on a regular basis. Her hobby was a fishing trip to Minnesota with her husband each year. She also enjoyed doing crafts.Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 17, 2003 at the First Christian Church in Garber. Rev. Don Johnson will officiate. Interment will be at Garber Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Dugger Funeral Home of Garber.Memorials may be made to the Parkinsons Foundation, Hospice Circle of Love or the charity of the donors choice. All may be given in care of Dugger Funeral Home.Pat is survived by three nieces, Betty Ann Rury of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Ruth Moore of Corpus Christi, Texas and Jean McCrea of Leander, Texas; two nephews, Willard Bebee of Enid, Oklahoma and Tom F. Ogburn of Byron, Oklahoma and several great nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and one brother, Arley Ogburn.
