• Notes

  In the 1880 Census Charles is living with William and Mary M Pyles in Union, Bartholomew, Indiana, USA. Charles’ uncle Smith Jolly married a Sarah Pyles, daughter of George Pyles. William Pyles and George could be brothers, I have not researched this info fully, based on birth dates and locations. Also, there are other Jollys and Pyles’ living in this same area of Bartholomew County int this same period. No other census, death or cemetery records have been found showing that either of his parents were still alive in 1880.
